0.2.1 – Exploration Update

Wrecks that can be discovered, dockable stations, basic resource collection and a few early survival mechanics (radiation, fuel/oxygen depletion). Full changelog below!

  • Added Galactic background (only works for the sector you spawned in)
  • Added Basic Resource Collection, there are 4 ores that you can collect now
  • Added Docking functionality to replenish fuel & oxygen
  • Added Target Lists with pointers rotating to the direction of the target
  • Added randomized names for discoverable objects
  • Added configurable and rotatable textures for planet graphics
  • Added explorable Satellites & Wrecks and corresponding Traits

  • Added generation/shuffling mechanisms via “name spaces”
  • Changed UI/HUD (reskin), featuring Notifications & VoiceMessages
  • Changed Spacecraft: they deplete both fuel & oxygen now (refill by docking at a station)
  • Changed Planet Traits to a “discoverable TechTree” with many trait inter-dependencies. This means that planet trait generation becomes more logical and realistic
  • Changed planet graphics
  • Changed internal orbit definitions

  • Fixed a bug with faulty distance calculation
